Joseph George Hennessey, 54, of Huntsville, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021.
Joe was born May 8, 1967, to James and Mary (Coffey) Hennessey. He was a former resident of Croydon and Bristol, PA as well as Boca Raton, FL before moving to Huntsville. He was a graduate St. Thomas Aquinas Grade School and Bishop Egan High School in Bucks County and went on to Broward College for Business Administration and Management. Joe worked at Corporate Express in Florida and Alabama Locations from 1992 -2012 as an Account Manager, and also at Strickland Companies. He married Laurie Ann Ahrens in 1998 and they welcomed a son, Christopher James Hennessey in December of 1999.
Joe was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Laurie Ann Hennessey, and sister, Kathleen A. Hennessey.
Survivors include his son, Christopher James Hennessey; in-laws, Charles P. Ahrens and wife, Susan, of Cape Coral, FL; brother-in- law, Scott Ahrens of Boca Raton, Fla., his brothers, James J. Hennessey and his wife, Amy, of Temple City, CA, and Timothy J. Hennessey of Philadelphia; sister, Louise Hennessey of Philadelphia; niece, Megan Hennessey Garcia and her husband Daniel; his nephews, James Marshall Hennessey and his wife Valerie, James Michael Nerosa and Cory Christopher McBride; as well as numerous friends and loved ones.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet his family at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home, 2320 Bob Wallace Ave., SW, Huntsville, Alabama 35805, followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. Joe’s interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, 203 Maple Hill Drive, Huntsville, Alabama, 35801.
