Doris Weaver Hopkins, age 82 of Winchester, TN passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 at RockGate Assisted Living Facility in Cowan, Tennessee. Mrs. Hopkins was born June 11, 1939 in Winchester, TN to the late Clara Young Weaver and Alvin Weaver. She was a 1957 graduate of Franklin County High School. In 1956, Doris and her sisters were all a part of a group that represented Tennessee at the national Farm Bureau convention in Chicago for cane jumping. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Winchester. She retired in 1998 from Suntrust Bank where she worked as a teller. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Charles Lee Hopkins. She is survived by her Son, Gary Lee (Dawn) Hopkins of Winchester, Daughter, Kim Hopkins of Winchester, Grandsons, Cody Lee (Carrie) Hopkins of Winchester, Casey Joel Hopkins of Nashville, and Great-grand daughter, Hazel Lee Hopkins of Winchester, Sisters, Faye Solomon of Cowan, TN and Peggy (Don) Gipson of Decherd, TN along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Moore Cortner Funeral Home in Winchester. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 21 at 12 p.m. with Reverend Roy Allen Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winchester, TN.
