Billy Wayne HenleyBilly Wayne Henley, age 73 of Winchester, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Estill Springs on December 28, 1947 to the late Herman Jackson and Mary Kathleen (Webb) Henley. Billy served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Tullahoma City Schools, where he was employed in the maintenance department. In his spare time, Billy enjoyed farming, fishing, and hunting as well as eating at the Decherd Steak House. But most of all, he cherished the time spent with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Herman Lee Henley, Jack Henley, and Alford Henley. Billy is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Jane Henley; sons, Wayne (Terri) Henley, and Nick (Ashley) Henley; step-daughters, Misty (Arthur) Gipson, and Christy (Jimmy) McClure; grandchildren, Keri (Mitch) Wright, Alicia Brewer, Dakota Henley, Whitney Henley, Brooklynn Henley, Brianna Henley, Bradynn Henley, Lashae Ventor, and Tyler Haney; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Buford Henley, Paul (Faye) Henley, Clarence (Kay) Henley, and Donald (Brenda) Henley; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens with military honors bestowed and Dakota Henley, Mitch Wright, Sammy Wright, Matt Henley, John Henley, and Michael Henley serving as pallbearers.
