Irby Ray Farmer, age 88, of Fort Payne, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2021 at his home. He was born on August 23, 1933 to the late Esmie and Emma Burgess Farmer. Irby was a member of Street Side Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the 2:00 P.M. hour of service.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Farmer; daughter, Janice Sparks; step-daughter, Lisa C. Harrison; step-son, Kenneth Chitwood; granddaughter, Staci Sparks; step-grandchildren, Jordan Chitwood, Derrick Chitwood, Whitney Ralph, and Chase Williams; and 5 great-grandchildren.
