Lou Belle Petty Coffman, 93, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021, in Jackson. Mrs. Coffman, the widow of Thomas L. Coffman, Sr., was born December 4, 1927, in Henderson County, Tennessee, to the late Roy Petty and Lena Thomas Petty. She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. She had been a seamstress who loved to make wedding dresses. She was a “people” person who loved singing, going to church, and, above all, reading her Bible.
Mrs. Coffman is survived by two sons: Thomas L. Coffman, Jr. (Doris), and Joey Coffman (Tracey); two daughters: Shaunda Brittain (Glenn), and Sarianne Goforth (David); eight grandchildren: Dana Puckett, Shawnn Azevedo, Jacquelyn Brummond, Dave Coffman, Bradley Daugherty, Andrew Coffman, Lisa Bolton, Kevin Mayo; and 17 great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Coffman was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Barber, and two brothers, Raymond Petty and Elzworth Petty.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning Saturday, October 9, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m; on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m; and on Monday, 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
