Mrs. Emily “Ebbie” Elizabeth Lemons passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at her daughter’s residence, at the age of 85 years old.
Mrs. Lemons was born on January 10, 1936, to the late Leonard Cecil Royster and Ethel Davis Goodson Royster. Mrs. Lemons lived in the Morgan City area. She loved gospel singings and being a caretaker. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Lemons leaves behind to celebrate her life: daughter, Patti Adams (Marshall); brother, Jim Green (Estelle); grandchildren, Mandy East (Jamie), Ashley Joyner (Lance); great grandchildren, Claire East, Wyatt Joyner, Drake Joyner.
In addition to her parents, Leonard and Ethel Royster, Mrs. Lemons is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Lemons; daughter, Jeanette Cooper; brother Woodford “Sonny” Royster; sisters, Sandy Grover, Ess Cornelius and an infant sister and brother.
A visitation will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. with a service to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Brother Larry Bishop officiating services.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Lemons will be: Marshall Adams, Jamie East, Lance Joyner, Nelson Martin, Anthony Adams, Troy Cornelius, Wyatt Joyner, and Drake Joyner.
