Mary Katherine Hartman, age 90 of Cowan, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at her residence. She was born April 10, 1931 in Sherwood to the late Clarence Raymond Besheres and Marie Alexandria Sidell Besheres. Katherine was a member of the Cowan Church of Christ. She will be remembered for her selfless nature, always making sure that everyone was taken care of. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed spending time at the beach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Floyd Hartman and brother, Billy Ray Besheres. She is survived by her children, Steve (Debra) Hartman and Sherry Brandon; grandchildren, Richard (Lauren) Hartman, Daniel (Haley) Hartman and Jason (Jolene) Brandon; great-grandchildren, Betty, Kate and Michael Hartman, Clayanna and David Brandon. Visitation will be 12-2 pm Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm in Moore-Cortner Chapel with Minister Eric Vanzant officiating.
