Marilyn J. Mayfield, 64 of Dora, passed away Sept. 25, 2021. She was a retired coal miner from Drummond Co. Chetopa Mines. A loving mother and grandmother, who loved and enjoyed nature, gardening and making jewelry.
Funeral services will be Thursday September 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday from 1-2 p.m.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Cella Tidwell.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Palmer (Melishia Posey); daughter, Misty Palmer (Matthew Stough); grandchildren, Braxton and Megan Palmer, Brayden Earnest, and Emma and Aiden Palmer; sister, Carol Slade; brothers, Charles and Johnny Tidwell; several other relatives and many friends.
