Mrs. Bonnie Jean Cooke Mrs. Bonnie Jean Morgan Cooke, age 81, of Birmingham passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at her residence. Time and date of services will be determined at a later date.  Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Cooke graduated from Phillips High School in 1958 and earned a diploma of Biblical Theology from Cathedral Bible College in 1980.  She retired from the Kirkland Clinic in internal medicine.  She was very active in her church and was passionate in volunteering and serving the homeless.  She took great joy in her granddaughter and her accomplishments.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Blonnie Morgan; sisters, Billie Morgan Epperson, Marilyn Morgan, Barbara M. Daniel and Rae Morgan.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Ed Cooke, Jr.; daughter, Tracy Cooke; granddaughter, Morgan Cooke-Stewart; sister, Doris Gilliean (Jimbo); and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Jimmy Hale Mission.
