Mr. James Sherrell Thomas, age 86 of Boaz, passed away at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice of Marshall County. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Adams Brown Service funeral Home, with Brother Doyce Putman officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm til the time of service, burial will follow at First Union Congregational Methodist Church of Boaz.
he is survived by his daughter Mia Petty (Darrell), grandchildren Xan Smith (David), Josh Petty (Hilary), and Will Petty (Caitlin); great grandchildren Barron Thomas, Kinsley Petty, Korbyn Petty, and Meyer Petty.
He was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Shirley Thomas; wife Merdith Thomas; son Barron Thomas; and sister Doris Copeland.
