Cindy Jean Vernon, age 63, passed away Monday September 13, 2021 after a short, courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.  She was born in Oklahoma City, Ok., and was the daughter of Barbara Jean Vernon of Buena Vista, Co. and the late Robert Eugene Vernon.

In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her sons, Jeremy (Jenny)  Morrill of Murfreesboro, Tn. and Eric  Morrill of Murfreesboro, Tn.; Sister, Debbie (Bill) Weeks of Buena Vista, Co. ; grandchildren Brendan, Nathan, and Kade Morrill of Murfreesboro, Tn., and Cheyenne and Madison Morrill of Gallatin, Tn.

In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her grandmothers, Bessie Vernon and Wanetta Parkerson, her brother,  Bobby Neal Vernon, and her two favorite dogs, Panama and Cody.

Ms. Vernon was a long time resident of Gallatin, Tn.  She owned Island Girl Pool Service and truly enjoyed taking care of her customers, who she considered friends. She attended Star Spencer High School and Dickson Baptist Church in Spencer, Oklahoma, where she made lifelong friends. She loved the ocean and the mountains, especially while making memories with her family on trips to Florida and Colorado.  Her passion in life was rescuing dogs, I don’t thing she ever met a dog she considered a stranger.  More than anything, she loved and adored her grandchildren with absolutely all of her heart.  She was loved by all that knew her and will be missed greatly.

Celebration of Life visitation with her family and friends will be Sunday October 10, 2021 from 11 am until 2 pm at Woodfin Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, Tn.

The family would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses who cared for her and fought so hard to try to help her.  It was not unnoticed or unappreciated.  We would like to offer special thanks to all of the staff at Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro, Tn.  The love, care,  and support they offered Cindy and her family during this time was a true blessing.

In Lieu of flowers,  please make donations in her name to :
