Rodger Millard Salkil, 61, of Huntsville passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021.
Rodger was an avid fan of University of Oklahoma football. He was a faithful member of Madison Freewill Baptist Church for over thirty years. Rodger enjoyed going to car shows, building model cars, jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with his family. In his early years he was a serious bowler, bowling a 300 game more than once.
He is survived by his son, David Salkil, and his partner and helpmate, Leanne Cunningham; his sisters Patricia Salkil Bellknap and Teresa Salkil Cagle.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Salkil; his mother, Juliane Salkil; and two sisters—Rosemarie Salkil Rivers and Julie Salkil Suttles.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 19th, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Berryhill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Madison Freewill Baptist Church, Madison, AL. No services are planned at this time. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
