Daniel Leon Holt, age 57, of Florence, passed away September 14, 2021. Visitation will be Saturday, September 18, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Church Cemetery, County Road 10. The graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Brother Jerry Balentine officiating.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, Troy Holt; mother, Beverly Stanton Holt Balok; brothers, Parker and Willard “Bill” Holt; grandparents, Elias and Grace Holt and Woodrow and Minion Stanton; and stepson, Gary Baskins.
Survivors include his loving wife of 20 years, Vickie Lynn Holt; daughters, Linnette Rivera (Antoinio) and Lisa Blevins (Brad); sons, Jeffrey Holt (Jessica) and Justin Holt (Shanney); stepdaughter, Kayla Rogers, siblings, Tammi Jackson and Kimberly Riedout (Warren); stepbrothers, Joel and Andrew Balok; sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Dan loved his family, the outdoors, his work, and Alabama football; but most of all, he loved to preach the word of God and loved his Lord above all. He was a member of the Father’s House Church.
The men of the church will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the 2nd floor Covid Unit and the 4th floor staff at North Alabama Medical Center for their loving care.
