Ricky Walker, 71 of Somerville passed away Monday, September 13, 2021, at his residence. Ricky was born October 15, 1949, the son of Clyde Ord Walker and Delia Drane Walker. He was a veteran of the United States Army, was retired from 3M, an avid Alabama fan, enjoyed drag racing and most of all loved his family, especially the grandchildren.
Ricky is survived by his wife of 51 years: Virginia Evans Walker; Children: Vanessa Ryan (Tracy), Kina Walker and Kerrie Washburn (Shane); Grandchildren: Cheyene Ryan, Montana Ryan (Zack Hobbs), Jerad Smith, John-Parker Washburn and Reagan Washburn. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Clyde and Delia Walker; Sister: Dorothy Walker; Brother: Charles Bearden.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brother Randy Pruett officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
Pallbearers: Tracy Ryan, Shane Washburn, Jerad Smith, John-Parker Washburn, Steve Collins and Zack Hobbs.
