Mary Ellen Cooper, 74 of the Dilworth community, passed away Thursday September 9, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Cooper was a retired LPN from St. Vincent’s Hospital.
Graveside services will be held Sunday September 12, 2021 at 2:00 pm in New Horizon Memorial Gardens with Rev. Thomas Reeves officiating. Entombment will follow in the New Horizon Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. There is no public visitation. Everyone will meet at the graveside.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Cooper; son, Johnny Cooper; parents, Jake and Margaret Ellenburg and brother, James Walter Elllenburg.
Survivors include her sons, Gary Cooper and Chris Cooper and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Jonathan Cooper (Christy), Jennifer Tucker (Nigel), Mary Katherine, Landon and C.J. Cooper, Kyle Kimbrell and Katherine Latham; several great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Traci Bennett Cooper; sisters, Becky Chambers, Carolyn Nelson and Kat Wesson; brother, Johnny Ellenburg; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
