Margaret Harper Dobbs, 88, of Fort Payne, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021. She was born March 2, 1933 in DeKalb County, Alabama, to Henry and Lena Burt Harper. She began working for Prewett Mills in 1952 and retired from Cherokee Hosiery. She was a member of Delmar Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Highfield and Rev. Steve Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Walkers Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to Delmar Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son Terry Dobbs; grandchildren Clint Dobbs, Amanda Waldrop, and Madison Dobbs; great-grandchildren Blake, Reagan, and Hank; brothers Howard Harper and Jimmy Harper; and sister Doris Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Doyle Dobbs and grandson Grant Dobbs.
