Grover Norvel Willbanks

Mr. Grover Norvel Willbanks, age 72, husband of Sherrie Willbanks, a resident of Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

 

A celebration of Norvel’s life will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Richard Dugger officiating. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Born on March 25, 1949, in Columbia, Norvel was the son of the late Robert Perry Willbanks and the late Arvie Belle Willbanks. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam and was a truck driver most of his life. Most recently, he drove a school bus in Marshall County. Norvel loved gardening, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed wood working and raising chickens. Above all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Norvel was a member of Community Fellowship Church.

 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Norvel G. (Nicole) Willbanks of Lynnville, Elvis (Dawn) Wells of Texas, Chad Wells of Texas, daughter, Sherrie (Tim) Estes of Culleoka, sisters, Sarah (Ricky) Stevenson of Pulaski, Debbie (Jackie) Shipp of Williamsport, brother, Larry (Vera) Willbanks of Pulaski, beloved grandchildren, Micheal (Ashley) Estes, Hunter (Emily) Estes, Austin (Maggie) Wells, Emilie Harvey, Savanna Willbanks, Sidney Willbanks, Carissa Willbanks, Audrey Piper Willbanks, Bristyn Wells, and Emilyn Wells, and many nieces and nephews.

 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Simmons and brothers, Bobby Willbanks and Wheeler Willbanks.
