Jerome Matthew Hall, 78, passed away Monday in North Augusta, South Carolina. Jerome was a resident of Huntsville from 1964 until recently when he moved to Augusta, Georgia for care at the VA Charlie Norwood Spinal Care Unit. He held a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and spent most of his career in television and radio but was especially proud of helping to build the Saturn V rocket with NASA.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary Jones Hall, two sons and their wives, Billard Eugene (Gail) Epperson and David Franklin (Mary) Epperson, and two brothers, Wayne and Larry Steven Hall. Survivors include his wife of four years, Mary “Liz” Jones Holden; daughter, Teresa Louise Epperson; grandson, Billy Dewayne (Michelle) Epperson; sister, Darlene (Jim) Maze; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Alexis; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 29 from 1 to 2 p.m. with service following at 2 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
