Watch now: Gov. Kay Ivey mandates masks in Alabama | State News | oanow.comFLORENCE-The City of Florence has issued a notice that requires everyone entering City Hall wear a mask.  The following statement was issued to the public by Florence Mayor Andy Betterton:

“Once again, we find ourselves in a position where COVID-19 numbers are increasing on a daily basis.  One of our responsibilities as a City is to protect our employees and provide them with a safe work environment.  With this responsibility in mind, the decision has been made that all visitors to City Hall offices will be required to wear a mask while in the building as well as the City employee with whom they are working.  Employees who are alone at their desk will not be required to wear a mask; however, while in common areas, lobbies, or hallways, a mask is required.

On Monday, August 23, 2021, attached signs were posted on the entrance doors to City Hall informing the public that masks are required to enter the building and while conducting business with City employees. We appreciate your support of the effort to both mitigate the spread of this illness to our community and preserve our workforce.”
