Mafalda Petrucci McNamee, born September 10, 1925, died at home August 18, 2021, with family by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacomo and Armeida Petrucci, 11 siblings, husband, William McNamee Jr., and daughter, Dianne Helgeson Moritzon.
Survivors include daughters, Melissa Green and Iolanda Hicks (David); grandchildren, Jason Marsden, Lauren McNamee (Chris), Michael Green (Jennifer), Olivia Green, Eric Helgeson, Dianne Alqubaisi (Khalifa), Karina Helgeson, and Michael and Mark Helgeson; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Kyle and Logan Marsden, Savannah Brown and Trinity Harper, Hannah, Hayleigh and MJ Green, Adriana and Xavier McBride, Mercedes, Dakota, Elizabeth, Layton, Aston and Michael Helgeson, Diana Algubaisi, and Felix, Heaven, Daniel, Ian, and Carianne Helgeson.
Mafalda lived in Huntsville since 1950. She was an active member of the West Huntsville Garden Club, Women’s International Club of Huntsville, and Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. Her feisty humor, bubbling laughter and caring nature will be missed by her family and friends. She was very much loved.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2021, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 24 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
