Nancy Beckett, age 85, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
Nancy was born on July 7, 1936, to the late Glenn Steele and Verna Taylor in Brewster, Ohio.
Nancy was so happy when she found a job she loved later in life. For ten years she worked as an accident investigator for a police department in Florida. She was 52 when she went for the job and was competing with “young bucks” as she said. On the first try she beat them all and was given the position.
Nancy is preceded by her parents and a greatgrandchild: Bentley Beckett.
Nancy is survived by her children: Brenda Lewis, Jennifer Beckett, and James Beckett; grandchildren: Joseph Beckett, Brennan Beckett, Alisha Beckett, and Amanda Beckett; and two great grandchildren: Maddie and Mackenzie.
Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
