Funeral services for Mrs. June Hare Rhodes, age 83, are scheduled for 1 PM, Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Judson Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Rhodes passed away late Monday in Lexington. She was born August 20, 1937 in Henderson County to the late Thomas Albert Hare and Virginia Odell McPeake Stanfill. She was a unit secretary at Henderson County Community Hospital for 32 years and a long time active member of Judson Baptist Church. She was a very selfless person and would help people any way she could. She loved flowers, gardening, hummingbirds, and visiting the Great Smoky Mountains. She was also a great cook. Mrs. Rhodes was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Victory Brundell Rhodes. Survivors include her son, Steve Rhodes; three daughters, Vicki Alldredge (Terry), Kim Rhodes, and Lisa Russom (Rex); five grandchildren, Eric, Crystal, David, Jeremy, and Melissa; and eleven great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Judson Baptist Church on Thursday 11 AM until time of service at 1 PM and requests that visitors wear a mask and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Judson, Hare, or Rock Hill Cemetery Funds.
