Elizabeth (Betty) Owen Blake, 84, of Jamestown, NC, made her final journey to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on July 30, 2021.
Elizabeth was born in Ft Payne, Al, August 14, 1936 daughter of Grady and Goldie Owen and graduated in 1954 from DeKalb County High School. She was married to her best friend, love of her life and husband of 66 years, Donald Edward Blake.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Renee Blake Dewar and was survived by her husband Donald Edward Blake; her son Robert Allen Blake and daughter in law Cindy Marie Blake; her grandchildren Michael Lee Dickens, Brittany Marie Blake Alexander, Winston Allen Blake, Madeline Amelia Dewar, Margaret Ruth Dewar Hopkins and John Joseph Dewar, Jr. She was blessed to have six beautiful great grandchildren, Annabel, Lilly, Ava, Charlotte, Parker and Simon. She was also survived by her brother Howard Owen and sister Fran Owen Upshaw along with many cherished nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom she loved dearly.
A grave side service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday August 3rd, 2021 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church cemetery in Adamsburg, Al.
