A Celebration of Life Graveside service for Danny Ray Bumpas, 65 of Walnut, MS, will be Sunday, August, 1, 2021 at 1:00 P M at Community Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Rev. Jesse Cutrer and Rev. Tim Wilbanks will officiate the service. Danny was born on August 29, 1955 to L.C. and Bernice Bumpas in what is now the sight of Magnolia Regional Hospital. He was 65 years old when he felt the call and answered from his master to come home. He was married to the love of his life for 41 years, the former Mary Jane Wilbanks. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.C. and Bernice and his mother and father-in-law, Wayman and Vyfie Wilbanks. He leaves behind one daughter, LaCosta Morphis, one granddaughter, Brianna Nelson and one grandson, Jordan Nelson all who loved him whole-heartedly with a passion. He also leaves behind two brothers, Phil and Steve to remind us of him, carry on the name, another later in life brother, Chris. He was a retired USPS transport driver for 20 years. Danny was the Epitome of a hard working, faithful and dedicated man who loved his God, his family and his church! He was a member of and a trustee for souls Harbor church where he served in many capacities over the past 20 years. He was honest, fair and loyal and one who gave his all and was willing to help any and all he knew and came into contact with.
His faithfulness to and his support of Souls Harbor church, his family, his pastor will serve as a template of Godliness and will outlive his time here! His life has garnered him the right to home far beyond the skies in that land that is fairer than day!
