Richard Wesley “Dickie” Hunt was born on December 19, 1955 in Winchester, Tennessee to the late Hulan Taylor and Cronelia J. Hunt. Dickie entered into eternal rest on July 21, 2021 at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. Dickie was united in marriage to Alice Faye Pruett on June 21, 1975. That union blessed them with two sons, Richad Jerrell and Jason Ryan. In the 1980’s he accepted Christ in his life and attended Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Decherd. Dickie was formerly employed with Dixie Tire and Goodyear. In his spare time, you could find him coaching Franklin County Little League and Pee Wee Football. Dickie leaves behind to cherish his memories his sons, Richard Jerrelle Hunt and Jason Ryan Hunt, both of Decherd; grandchildren, Hayden Hunt and Jacey Page Hunt; loving sister, Jo Anne Hayes; mother of his children, Alice Faye Pruett Hunt; niece, Missy Hayes of Winchester; nephew, Wayne Hill of Cowan; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Jerrelle and Jason wish to express a heartfelt thank you for all the acts of kindness to their father during his time of sickness. A Memorial Service will be held in the future and will be announced by Moore-Cortner Funeral Home when the arrangements become available. The family asks that in lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
