Craig Alan Elder, age 53 of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Covina, California on August 28, 1967 and had served his country in the United States Army. Craig had been employed at Nissan for over twenty-five years as a machine operator. An avid Tennessee Volunteers fan, he enjoyed watching football and cheering for the Vols. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, as well as cooking. But most of all, Craig cherished the time he spent with his beloved friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Craig never met as stranger, and was a daddy he didn’t have to be. He was lovingly referred to as “Papa C” by his grandkids that he showered with candy and bubbles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Elder; and sister, Susan Elder. He is survived by his daughter, Libbie (Dustin) Cook of Tullahoma; grandchildren, Aydalyn Cook, Brixten Cook, Brantlee Cook, and McKinzlee Cook, all of Tullahoma; father, Harvey Elder of Lynchburg; siblings, Michael Elder of Lynchburg, and Debbie (Alan) Howard of Temple, Georgia; niece, Melissa Buchanon; and nephews, Justin Elder, and David “Thumper” Andrews. Visitation will be from 12-2 pm on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Jennings-Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 181 Majors Boulevard, Lynchburg, TN 37352, (931)-759-4552
