James Gary McNeese

Age 76 of Cross Plains went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Ivy Crest Assisted Living in Pulaski, TN. He was born November 1, 1944 in Ardmore, Alabama to James David & Sarah Hobbs McNeese. He worked for Dupont until his retirement. Mr. McNeese enjoyed listening to gospel music and was of the Pentecostal faith. He loved fishing, metal detecting, coin collecting, watching sports and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed lending a helping hand to others every time that he could. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Teri Groezinger. He is survived by his wife, Brenda McNeese, Cross Plains, TN; daughter, Mitzi (Don) Young, Antioch, TN; grandson, Justin (Kaitlin) Young, Pulaski, TN; sisters, Julia (David) Eidson, White House, TN, Sheila (Jimmy) Coleman, Clarksville, TN and Patsy (Scott) Hoback, Joelton, TN; great-granddaughter, Elaina. Funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 11am in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Bro. Ben Butero and Bro. Clyde Sharber officiating. Interment will follow at 1pm in Forest Lawn memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville with family and friend serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family is planned for Wednesday, July 28, 2021 8am until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
