Mr. Gene Randall Ricks, age 79, of Decatur died Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at his residence. Shelton Funeral Home is assisting his family with arrangements. No public service is scheduled at this time.
Mr. Ricks was born November 13, 1941, at Ft. Benning, GA, to Robert A. Ricks and Margie Bobo Ricks. He was preceded in death by three sons, Michael Shane Ricks, Troy Lee Ricks, and Christopher Ricks, and his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Evelyn Ricks of Decatur; one daughter, Tina Locke (David) of Hartselle; daughter-in-law, Lisa Ricks; two grandsons, Michael Coleman (Katelynn) and Josh Ricks; and one great-granddaughter, Hanna Lee Coleman.
