Audry Faye Barker Ganey, age 85, of Graysville, AL, passed away on July 21, 2021. She was born on August 15, 1935 in Nauvoo, Walker County, AL.
She is survived by children, Richard Ganey (Cheryl), Debra Busby (Stanley); grandchildren, Erin Ganey Adams (Kerry), Richard Ganey II (Hilary), Jessica Busby, Zackery Busby (Lillie), Lauren Patt, Daniel Patt; great-grandchildren, Mason Ganey, Lilah Jane Ganey, and Ava Rae Busby; brother-in-law, Jimmy Veal; sisters-in-law Shirley Barker and Judy Barker; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Harlan and Charlotte Ganey; and many nieces and nephews.
Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Earl Ganey; parents, Jack and Inez Ellen Barker; brother, J.W. Barker and sister-in-law, Inez Barker; brother, Harold Barker and sister-in-law, Eugenia Barker; brother, Charles Barker; brother, Jimmy Barker; sister, Marie Veal; brother-in-law, Eual Ganey and sister-in-law, Mariruth Ganey; brother-in-law, Russell Ganey.
Faye graduated from Walker County High School and Samford University in Birmingham. She had a life-long banking career, starting at Walker County Bank when she was 16 years old, and retiring from Regions Bank in 1997 as City Vice President of Jasper. After retirement, she remained active in managing the family business, Ganey Stores Inc., which owned and operated multiple convenience stores throughout Jefferson and Walker Counties. She was a member of the 6th Avenue Church of Christ in Jasper.

Graveside service will be on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10am at Walker Memory Gardens. Collins-Burke Funeral Home directing. Levi Sides will officiate.
