Funeral Services for Mrs. Saundra Morrow McCraw, age 71 of Ashland, will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Rusty Craig officiating. Burial will follow at the Ashland City Cemetery.
Mrs. McCraw passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. McCraw was born in Talladega County, and upon her graduation from Clay County High School Class of 1967, attended Bessemer Tech to become an LPN. She worked at the UAB Medical Center for a number of years. She also worked for Comfort Keepers in Birmingham as a home health nurse for several years. Outside of work, she loved going to the beach, enjoyed cooking in her younger years, and was fluent in writing poetry, where 3 of her poems became published. She was a member of First Baptist church in Ashland.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ramon Elliot McCraw; one sister, Joyce Erhardt; one niece, Roxanne Lamberth (Greg), all of Ashland; one nephew, Gregg Morrow (Bethany) of Lineville; one great-nephew, 3 great-nieces, and some extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Houston Morrow and Lillie Mae Gaither Morrow; and one brother, James “Jimmy Morrow.
Friends and Family will serve as pallbearers.
A Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 22 from 1:00 P.M. until her service at 2:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland.
