Dr. Alfred A. Ratcliffe Jr., age 77 of Albertville, passed away at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice of Marshall County Tuesday, July 13, 2021. A visitation will be held Friday, July 16, 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 1:00 pm also in the chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, entombment will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. Dr. Ratcliffe is survived by his wife Nancy Ratcliffe; daughters Dr. Ann Elizabeth Jacobson (Jeremiah) and Megan W. Carter (Bence); sons Alfred A. Ratcliffe III, William A. Ratcliffe (Cappy), and Masara Gumiro (Loretta); grandchildren Aly Kate Ratcliffe, Ethan M. Jacobson, Owen W. Jacobson, William A. Ratcliffe, Benjamin L. Ratcliffe, Ann Elizabeth Ratcliffe, Georgia M. Carter, Masara Gumiro Jr., and Mason Gumiro. He was proceeded in death by his parents Alfred Ratcliffe Sr. and Elsie Ratcliffe; sister Phyllis Ratcliffe; late wife Alethia Gaynell Ratcliffe.
Pallbearers will include J. Michael Belyeu MD, M. Wayne Peters MD, R. Scott Anderson MD, Johh Gullahorn, Tony Cochran, Shane Davis, Paul McAbee, Steve Denny, Ben McGowan, and Kyle Harbor.
Honorary Pallbearers will include Russell L. Anderson MD, B. Allen Watson MD, Albertville Rotary Club, and Marshall County Medical Society.
