Charles L. Whitmore was born September 21, 1953 in Decatur, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Whitmore and Hazel Doss; and sister, Cindy Doss.
He is survived by his brother, Billy Doss; children, Joshua Whitmore, Shana wise, Steven Whitmore, Anthony Whitmore, Tonya Whitmore and Ashley Whitmore; 19 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Charles was known for being a hardworking & caring man who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He worked for over 30 years painting residential & commercial properties in various cities across Alabama as part of his service to others. When he was not working, Charles enjoyed cleaning his truck, “Dad’s T”, watching wrestling & Alabama Football, & having dinner with family & friends.
There will be a Graveside Service at Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore, Alabama at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 15, 2021.
