Robert "Bob" Daniel Mattiace Rev. Robert “Bob” Daniel Mattiace, age 78, of Calera, AL, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at his residence.

Bob was a man of many talents and much love for his family.  He had several jobs over his lifetime, including working on a shrimp boat, worked on a farm, being over the Food Pantry at Amazing Grace Worship Center, salesman, poet, and Pastor.  He was a licensed ordained pastor who had pastored a number of churches in the Pentecostal Church of God.  One of his favorite jobs was a deliveryman for Harbin Discount Pharmacy where he met a wide array of people, and made friends everywhere he went.  He loved to joke and make everyone laugh, loved to watch Westerns, and loved fishing with his best friend, Ray.  He was a devoted husband who loved his wife more than anything, and his whole family meant the world to him.    He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Daniel & Madeline Mattiace; and sister-in-law, Mary Prince.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 49 years, Louise Montgomery Mattiace; son, Daniel Mattiace (Dana); grandchildren, Daniel Nevin Mattiace, Nadia Danielle Mattiace, Mallory Claire Brannum, Morgan Paige Brannum; in-laws, Bill & Annette Berry, David & Barbara Caldwell, William A. & Linda Prince, David & Cindy Montgomery, Leon & Debbie Prince; and host of nieces & nephews.

The visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville, AL.   The funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Bro. Keven Blankenship, William A. Prince, and Annette Berry speaking at the service.  Burial will be at Tharptown Cemetery in Russellville, AL.

There will be a memorial service at Amazing Grace Worship Center in Alabaster, AL at a later date.

The pallbearers will be Jason Prince, Joshua Prince, John Blackwood, Daniel Kingston, Nevin Mattiace, Aaron Prince, and Bill Berry.
