Connie Fay Vanzant, age 77 of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Vanzant was born on January 27, 1944 in Nauvoo, Alabama. She loved reading her Bible, sewing, telling funny stories and spending time with her family. She loved playing piano, baking and making candy.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at New Hope at Mount Ebron Baptist Church in Double Springs, where the service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Brother Steve Wakefield, Allen Kirkpatrick, and Melanie Martin will officiate. Burial will be at New Oak Grove Cemetery in Nauvoo, Alabama.
Connie is survived by her children, Michael (Sherrie) Bell, Melanie (Buddy) Martin; four grandchildren, Chris (Jennifer) Bell, Daniel (Misty) Hadder, Kevin (Jessica) Bell, Natosha (Michael) Thompson; seven great grandchildren, Noah Bell, Nadia Bell, Cyan Jones, Jacob Hadder, Jude Hadder, Jack Hadder,, Kylie Bell, Logan Bell; very, very special fur baby, Kirby; brothers, Dwight (Bonnie) Bailey, Danny (Betty) Bailey, Genece Beasley; sister, Nikki (Matt) McClellan and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Vanzant; parents, James and Enzilee Bailey; sister, Linda Bailey.
