Corinne Redd Stone, age 89, passed away on July 9, 2021 at Donalson Care Center, after a long illness. She was born on May 28, 1932, near Petersburg, TN, to the late James Ross and Gladys Haislip Redd.
Mrs. Stone was a graduate of Central High School in Fayetteville, TN. In 1952, she married the late Lyndon Trigg Stone, and they were the parents to the late Martin Trigg Stone.
Corinne was a teacher’s aid at Highland Rim School for 8 years. She was retired from Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. After retirement, Mrs. Stone worked for Elk Valley Home Health. She was a member of the Parks City Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School Class for 35 plus years.
Survivors include her two granddaughters, Bobbie Sue Stone of Huntsville, AL, and Barbara (Andre) Stone of Madison, AL; sister, Verna Faye (Don) Webb of Dalton, GA; several special nieces and nephews; and special friend and caregiver, Charlotte Farmer of Fayetteville.
Visitation with the family will be from 10 AM until 12 PM on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Higgins Funeral Home. A graveside service and burial will follow at 12:30 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery, with Bro. Don Russell officiating.
