Charlotte J. Sartain, 83, of Oakman, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021, surrounded by family as she peacefully made her destination.

Agraveside service will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 2 p.m., at Providence Cemetery, with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Donnie Hyche and Bro. David Byrd will officiate.

Throughout her life Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved the Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church in Oakman. Charlotte loved working in her yard full of beautiful flowers. She also loved to fish, shop, go to yard sales, travel, going to Gospel singings and go out to eat with her dear friends. She loved her dogs dearly, but mostly Charlotte loved her family. She will be so missed and she was so loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray L. Sartain; parents, Griffin and Louvenia Pounds; brothers, Mack Pounds, O.C. Pounds, James Ray Pounds and George Pounds; sisters, Evelyn Pounds and Eloise Renshaw; daughter-in-law, Carol Sartain.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Sartain (Sherri) and Mark Sartain; grandchildren, Chase Sartain (Reagan), Christi Sartain, Haley Ellenburg (Dylan), Katie Rae Jones and Marcy Myers (Nick); great grandchildren, Griffin Jones, Anna Michael Edmonds, Tucker Sartain, Rhett Ellenburg, Lynlee Myers, Haven Myers and Fendley Sartain; sister, Mary Alice McKinley; in-laws, Bill Sartain, Ed Sartain (Beckie), Willie Lou Pounds; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
