Memorial services for Mr. David Franklin Woods, age 74, will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 17, 2021 in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery.
Mr. Woods, a retired employee of the Tennessee Department of Transportation, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 in the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Desoto.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leamon Lee and Annie Lou Woods; a sister, Betty Rider; and two brothers, Thomas Woods and Ray Woods.
Mr. Woods is survived by a daughter, Kimberly Sparks of Sarah, MS; two sons, Timothy David Woods of Humboldt and Robert Vincent Sparks of Sarah, MS; four sisters, Mary Louise Long of Humboldt, Dorothy Jones of Nashville, Reba Smith of Milan and Jean Brown Lynch of Southaven, MS; a brother, Larkin L. Brown III of Hernando, MS; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
