Funeral Service for Vera Lee Burks, age 92, of Cullman, will be at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home with Randy Makemson officiating; interment in Center Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Burks passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021, at Cullman Regional. She was born November 1, 1928, to Gordon and Vassie Watson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.D. Burks; daughter, Sue Loyd; two brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include her son, Rickey (Brenda) Burks; daughter, Rita (Dean) Mertens; son-in-law, Carl (Libby) Loyd; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers.
