A Celebration of Life service for John Richard “Rickey” Burress, 68 of Corinth, MS, will be Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – South Chapel with interment to follow at Magnolia Gardens. Bro. Rodney Whittemore will officiate the service. Visitation will be Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 12:00 noon until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – South. Mr. Burress passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was a truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. He was born December 4, 1952 in Hammond, IN to John Burress and Eugenia Merryman Burress. Rickey is survived by his sons, Chris Burress and wife April of Corinth, MS, Eric Burress and wife Katie of Corinth, MS and Hayden Burress (Cassidy Hamm) of Corinth, MS; his daughter, Halie Burress of Corinth, MS; 5 grandchildren, Ashley Burress, John Kaysen Burress, Kynleigh Burress, Morgan Burress and Taylor Burress; his brothers, William Burress and wife Janet of Corinth MS and David Lee Burress of South Fulton, KY; his sister, Martha Ann Burress of Foley, KY; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John Burress; his mother, Eugenia Merryman Burress; his brother, Jim Burress and his sister, Barbara Clausel. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mr. John Richard “Rickey” Burress.
