Melvin Dale Griggs, 77, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021. He was born January 23, 1944 to the late Russell Griggs and Dovie Renfroe Griggs. Mr. Griggs was a true American patriot, proudly serving in the United States Army where he fought in the Vietnam War.
Graveside services are planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 1st at Walkers Chapel Cemetery in Fort Payne, Alabama.
He is survived by his daughters Sheena Griggs Rolfe and Sherie Adams; grandchildren Brandon Adams, Blake Adams, and Garrett Rolfe; sisters Belinda Martinez, Dolly Willis, Nadine Glenn, and Marie Trammell.
He was preceded in death by his brothers David and Wayne Griggs and sister Diana Griggs.
Wilson Funeral Home and Crematory of Fort Payne is in charge of arrangements.
