Myrtis Iona Godsey, age 89 of Haleyville, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Lakeland Community Hospital.
Mrs. Godsey was born on November 10, 1931 in Haleyville, Alabama. Myrtis loved to go to church. She also loved to draw and loved music.
A private service will be held. Flowers may be sent to Nichols Funeral Home.
Myrtis is survived by her daughter, Debra (Jerry) Adair; granddaughter, Tina (Timmy) Dishman; sisters, Ruby Bryan and Frances Lee Chapman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jahue and Cordelia Crumpton; husband, Austin Godsey; grandson, Keith Adair, and seven siblings.
