Oscar Cox, Jr., age 90 of Jasper, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at his residence.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Edgil Grove Baptist Church, funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Hancel Cox and Scott Argent will officiate.
Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his Parents-Oscar and Ruby Cox; Wife-Joyce Cox; Son-Mark Cox; Brothers-Cain Cox, James Cox, J.L. Cox, Milton Cox; Sisters-Edna Cox, Mary Cox, Dorothy King, Kathleen Hankins, Lucille Morris; Grandsons-Stephen and Philip.
He is survived by his Daughter-Lynne Cox Curtis; Son-Hancel Cox; Sisters-Vernette Curtis, Billie Ruth Adcock, Sara Haynes; 8 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ben Cox, Brady Cox, Joey Cox, Peter Curtis, Donald Curtis and James Clouse.
