Peggy Jean Hughes, 76, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Red Bay, AL and worked at General Motors. She was a member of Word Outreach Ministry.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 19, 11 a.m. at Carter’s Branch Cemetery, Tishomingo, MS with Rev. Elworth Mabry and Jerome Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Carter’s Branch Cemetery, Tishomingo, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by four children – Phyllis Smith, Darwin Wright, Marie Wright and Edwin Wright; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her ex-husband, Robert Wright, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.A. and Luevia Anderson, a son, Dwayne Wright and a brother, Jimmy Anderson.
