Vickie Sholey, age 85 of Sewanee, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at her residence. A native of Sewanee, she was born on March 21, 1936 to the late Jack Horace Hawkins Sr. and Katherine Mooney Hawkins. She owned and operated Sewanee Auto with her husband Dwight. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Hawkins, Robert Hawkins, John Hawkins, Ed Hawkins, Joe Hawkins, Marshall Hawkins; sisters, Pauline McBee, Martha Marshall, Marguerite Thompson, and Janice Williams. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dwight Sholey Jr.; sons, Mark (Nell) Sholey, Jeff (Tammy) Sholey, William (Kathy) Sholey; grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Floyd, Brian Floyd, Dona Nicole Ferrell, Frank Scroggins, Allison Lindsey Sholey, Cody Caldwell, Sarah Caldwell; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Grayson, Aniston, Blaze, Boyd, Devyn, Dane, Emma; sister, Sue Hawkins; sister-in-law, Alice Sholey; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M., Saturday June 19, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, with a memorial service following at 5:00 P.M.
