Marshall Lee Cody, 62, of Grant, passed away peacefully Sunday surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by father, Clifton Ray Cody; mother, Sallie Cora Cody; brother, Herbert Junior Cody; sister, Doris Jane Norman; sister-in-law, Judy Myrline Cody; brother-in-laws, Sammy Lanier, Allen Wayne Norman, Sr., Lester Eugene Norman, Don Slayton, Archie Ray Glover, and Jerry Wayne Pruitt; mother-in-law, Doris Jean Miller; father-in-law, Norman Henri Miller; sister-in-law, Alice Faye Lemley; brother-in-law, Robert Alvis Miller; sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Clark; brother-in-law, William Edward Miller.
Surviving are former wife and mother of his children, Lee Ann Miller; sons, Adam Neil Cody, Shawn Luke (Addison McElrath-fiance) Cody, and Jeremy Michael Flippo; grandson, Alexander Nicholas Cody; sisters, Betty Louise Lanier, and Ruby Mae (James) Keel; brother, Royce Ray (Glenda) Cody; sisters, Reda Joyce Slayton, JoAnn (Wayne) Terry, and Martha Sue Pruitt; brothers, Ervin Junior (Deborah) Cody, and Roger Gene (Carol) Cody; sister-in-law, Norma Jean Messer; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wants to send a special thanks to Huntsville Hospital Hospice Family Care, nurse Leslie, and aide Lekisha.
Visitation will be Tuesday 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home, Wednesday at 2:00 PM with Bro. Trotwood Mance officiating.
Interment will be in the Walker Cemetery.
