Funeral service for Elaine Adelle (Deal) Frost, age 83, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, June 16, 2021, 4:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Holt officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo, MI at a later date.
Ms. Frost, who died Friday, June 11, 2021, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born October 21, 1937, in Kalamazoo, MI, to Harry Deal and Marie Pierce Deal. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Dennis Michael Deal, and one granddaughter, Michelle Denise Lott. Ms. Frost was a loyal and dedicated patriot who spent more than 30 years in support of veterans’ programs, especially with VFW Post 4190 in Decatur. She was a lifetime member, and served in numerous state and local offices of the VFW organization. She was also a member of the Rainbow Girls.
She is survived by one son, Dennis Frost (Karen) of Decatur; two daughters, Shirley Lott (Johnny) of Decatur, and Sherri Martin (Dennis) of Trinity; one brother, Duane Deal (Marion) of Florida; three sisters, Lorraine Arnold (Howard) of Zolfo Springs, FL, Jeanne Bowman (Mitch) of Michigan, and Patti Oakland (Dave) of Kalamazoo, MI; two grandsons, Jay Lott (Jackie) of Harvest, and Michael Martin (Ashley) of Russellville; and a host of nephews and nieces.
