John C. "Jack" Haven John C. “Jack” Haven, 90 of Arab passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021. Jack was born June 8, 1931 in Wayne County, Ohio one of fourteen children of John Claren Haven and Alie E. Goodman Haven. He served his country with honor and courage in the US Army, was retired from Parker-Hannifin and a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church in which he was a deacon emeritus. He was married to the late Margaret Gipson Haven for nearly 64 years at the time of her death April 1, 2016.

Jack is survived by his Children: Gayla Hayes(Dwight), Kelly Russell(Stephen) and David Haven(Ginger); Grandchildren: Nicholas Hayes(Abby), Shawn Haven(Frankie), Malarie Allen(Shannon), Christy Crotser(Jared), Leilani Hayes, Meggie Russell and Rebekah Westerman; Great Grandchildren: Madison Erskine(John), Braxton Haven, Ivy Kay Haven, Greyson Crotser, Dagney Crotser, Jovie Crotser, James David Allen, Edie Crotser, Lucy Crotser, Brady Jeremiah Allen, Maggie Jo Allen, Thea Westerman and Gates Hayes; Sisters: Sarah Wohlford, Wanda Huffman, Pauline Greenough, Lois Miller; Brother: Johnny Haven; Host of Nieces, Nephews, other family members and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his Wife: Margaret Haven; Siblings: Glendel Haven, Howard Haven, Harold Haven, Bruce Haven, Raymond Haven, Kenneth Haven, Mary Friend and Louise Smith.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2021, at Gober Funeral Chapel, Brother Max Roden, officiating. Burial will be in Gilliam Springs Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel, directing.

Pallbearers: Leilani Hayes, Nicholas Hayes, Shawn Haven, Shannon Allen, Wayne Burgett and Steven Burgett. Honorary Pallbearers: Richard Langston, Charles Davidson and the deacons of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Gober Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the Haven Family suggests donations be made to Gilliam Springs Baptist Church or to Shephard’s Cove Hospice in memory of Jack Haven.
