Funeral service for Patricia Ann Johnson (NaNa), 86, of Gadsden, who died on Saturday, June 5, 2021 will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at Collier-Butler Chapel with Rev. Gary Williams and Rev. Scott Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson was a very active 60 year member of Fairview Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, taught multiple Sunday school classes, worked in the children’s church and served on many committees. She was a 1953 graduate of Emma Sansom High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Morgan Johnson, parents, Ben and Jewell Davis, sister, Jean Black, brother, Roger Davis and sister-in-law, Margaret Beggs. Survivors include her sons, Steve (Pam) Johnson and David (Stacy) Johnson, grandchildren, Jeremy (Jessica) Johnson, Beth (Scott) Clark, Lane (Hannah) Johnson and Ben Johnson, sister, Brenda Lay, nieces and nephews, Michael (Cindy) Beggs, Karen (Steve) Alford, Kathy (Henry) Binkowski, Kristy Beggs, Marquita (Lewis) Campbell, Randy (Phyllis) Black, Robin (Chris) Copeland, Benji Gable, Joey Davis, Scott Sanford, Kelli (Ron) Tinsley and Chris (Krista) Sanford, Jeff (Anita) Black and Gloria (Dean) Copeland. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews, Jeremy Johnson, Lane Johnson, Ben Johnson, Scott Clark, Randy Black, Jeff Black, Chris Sanford and Scott Sanford. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the building fund at Fairview Baptist Church. The family would like to extend special thanks to Mrs. Johnson’s caregivers, Sheila Knight, Dee Williams, Margaret Knight and Carolyn Bates, as well as, the Nurses and Staff with Encompass Hospice. The family will receive friends from 11 am until the hour of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
