Mrs. Virginia Grimsley Rogers, age 96, passed away on Friday in Henderson. She was born July 21, 1924 in Decatur County to the late Charlie and Cora Powers Grimsley. She was a member of Judson Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and quilting, but her children and grandchildren were her life. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Edward Rogers; two sons, Jimmy and Jonathan Rogers; her sister, Ethylne White; and three grandchildren, Tim Rogers, Keith Dunivan, and Amanda Lindsey. Survivors include her three sons, Johnny Rogers (Liz), Tony Rogers, and Jeff Rogers (Sharon); two daughters, June Whitaker and Wanda Pugh (Gayle); a nephew, Max White; eighteen grandchildren, Renee Fesmire, Trisha Brasher, Sara Gideon, Jill Dunivan, John Whitaker, Angel Melton, Destiny Whitaker, Melissa Reeves, Gina Wyatt, Jamie Hardin, Brian Rogers, Trent Rogers, Allison Carrington, Courtney Box, Kaley Chatham, Bethany Parker, Nathan Rogers, and Tyler Rogers; and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for Sunday, May 30, 2021 at 2 PM at Judson Cemetery.
