Josephine Furlough Everett Josephine Furlough Everett, age 88, passed away surrounded by family. She graduated from Madison County High School in 1951 and married William Eugene Everett in 1953. They were married for 57 years and had two daughters, Mrs. Leslie Everett Ellis (Jesse) and Mrs. Tracey Everett Hatcher (Richard), and six grandchildren, Hayden (Katie) Ellis, Jaxson Ellis, Blaire Ellis, Jacob Hatcher, Samuel Hatcher and Elizabeth Hatcher. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Mason Jewelers. She was very proud of her contribution to the early space program through her work with Northrop as an administrative assistant. She loved gardening and sharing her plants with others. She was a long-time member of University Baptist Church in Huntsville.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband and her parents, Charlie and Bertha Furlough. She is survived by her daughters and grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery, Wednesday at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ross Jaeger officiating.
In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be made to the Downtown Rescue Mission.
